The YouRoyal Lifestyle Mentorship Program is a faith-based youth mentorship program helping young men ages 13–25 grow in leadership, discipline, confidence, faith, and purpose. YouRoya connects youth and young adults with committed mentors who lead with faith, purpose, and excellence.

Growing up, Marchello recognized the gap between what young men and women were experiencing in their daily lives and the strong mentorship they needed. Out of that burden, the YouRoyal Lifestyle Mentorship Program was born to give mentees the tools, wisdom, and guidance to walk confidently into their calling.

For Marchello Shelton, YouRoyal is more than a program it’s personal.
As a youth leader at Freedom Church, Marchello has spent years pouring into young people and witnessing both the potential and the pain many young men carry silently.
He saw the need for guidance.
He saw the need for accountability.
He saw the need for positive brotherhood.
Most importantly, he saw the need for young men to know their value.
That burden became the foundation for YouRoyal.
Created to help young men discover leadership, identity, discipline, confidence, and faith, YouRoyal exists to remind the next generation that their story does not end with their environment or circumstances.
Marchello’s mission is to help young men become leaders in every area of life, spiritually, emotionally, personally, and professionally.

8-week cohort experience
Weekly 90-minute sessions
Small groups + 1:1 mentor touchpoints

Mentors: 2–3 hrs/week, including prep
Mentees: 2 hrs/week + light reflection

A Mentor in the YouRoyal Lifestyle Program is a trusted leader who invests their time, wisdom, and support into the growth of each mentee. Mentors listen, encourage, and help navigate challenges while modeling faith, character, and excellence. They are not perfect, but they are committed to walking alongside the next generation with integrity and care.
A learner, dreamer, and emerging leader.
A Mentee is a young participant in the YouRoyal Lifestyle Program who is open to guidance, eager to grow, and willing to learn. Mentees are encouraged to set goals, explore their gifts, and develop the confidence to step into their purpose. They are not expected to have all the answers just the courage to keep showing up and growing.

My take and experience about being a mentor was that I was able to take young a man show him some tools in life teach life lessons and keep them motivated on doing the right things. Being a mentor help me build my character and also shaped me in areas that needed strengthening.
